hiking gear

Talking about a contradiction! I am not a nature girl and I am definitely not a hiking girl. So these photos are clearly an illusion, a Fata Morgana, oh the things I do for fashion. But what would I wear, IF I would take an adventurous trip? Let's start with the jacket. After 30 years I have found the perfect little raincoat by a not so favorite brand of mine Abercrombie & Fitch. The stores are too dark, too loud, too confusing and finding the exit is completely impossible. There is probably a lot of research behind the concept, so as a researcher I had to see it for myself. Convinced of not buying anything at all I entered the  Walhalla of uniformity. All of a sudden I saw something yellow shimmering in the dark. Interested and intrigued I approach the rack. And hallelujah, a dandy preppy very english jacket was dangling before my eyes. I could see myself sitting by the shore or in the countryside having tea time with the upper class

Hold on, let's not become too traditional (never ever lose your fashion identity). So how about some japanese refined art, Issey Miyake. The cut of the shorts is the most ingenious I have ever seen. It is as if you are wearing a giant bubble. You can feel the wind playing with the fabric and you definitely hope that you won't take off. Luckily I stayed attached to the ground thanks to my perfect Marc Jacobs boots.
